Ballot Statement
Rachel Ulrich, Ballot Statement County Board of Education, District #1

As a parent and an educator, I see the need for active involvement at every level of a child's development and I am especially qualified to be an education champion. I am a product of local public schools, a parent of three public school children and I teach at Oxnard College and Calif. Lutheran University.

As your County Board member, I will work to make our schools safe, fiscally sound and accountable. I support programs to improve children's health, provide education pathways so students can be prepared for college or careers and I believe students should become skilled in the use of technology.

To successfully prepare our students for the future, the County School Board must provide exceptional services to parents, teachers, and local school districts. Working together, we can create an outstanding learning environment where every child can reach his or her potential regardless of background.

Please visit http://www.RachelUlrich.com to see my bipartisan list of endorsements which includes Supervisor John Zaragoza and Supervisor Steve Bennett.

I am locally grown and raised. I will use my experience from the classroom and home to be an effective advocate for students, parents, teachers and taxpayers and I respectfully ask for your vote.
