I am Jeanine Tucker and I would be honored to have your vote on November 2nd. I grew up in the Bay Area with my brother and two wonderful, loving parents who grew up during the Great Depression. My dad served in WWII as a Navy Sea Bee, enlisting when he was only 15 years old. He answered a call to serve. My parents instilled in me good values: hard work, commitment, dedication, and the importance of getting a good education. They taught me that your handshake is your word, to always be honest and honorable, and to treat others as you would want to be treated. They taught me the value of a dollar, and that you have to learn to live within your means.

I was the first in my family to earn a bachelor's degree (Political Science) and from there pursued my juris doctorate degree in Law. It was in the late 1980's that I moved to the Central Valley, and I began working for the Superior Court in 1991. There are continuing education courses that I take and complete to keep fresh and to help me to be a better manager. These are through the Administrative Office of the Courts and the Institute of Court Management.

I moved to Riverbank in 2005 and became a Court Operations Manager that same year. The courts have seen hard times these past few years too. We are continually being asked to do more with less. As an Operations Manager, it is my responsibility to manage the daily operations of several clerical divisions: Civil, Small Claims, Probate Estates, Criminal, the Child Support Division for the courts, and the Probate Examiners. I manage approximately 70 clerical staff including 6 supervisors and 2 probate examiners. I prepare budgets and oversee those budgets once approved. I am always mindful of every tax dollar spent. I am also responsible to carry out special projects as assigned. I frequently meet with and have a good working relationship with members of the District Attorney's Office, Sheriff's Office, Probation Department, Department of Child Support Services and other county agencies.

I am a member of the National Association of Court Managers and through that association, am an active member of their publications committee. I am currently an author for and co-editor of "Court Express", an electronic newsletter that goes out to court executives, judicial officers and court managers all over the United States and beyond. The mission of "Court Express" is to bring timely, emergent information of interest to court managers everywhere.

Community Service is very important to me. I have previously been a member of the Bd. of Directors of V.I.P.S. (Visually Impaired Persons Support Center), and have been a member of the Modesto 500 Lions since 1995. I have gone through the chairs and have been a past president, Zone Chair for two terms, supporting 5 clubs in the area, and Cabinet Secretary, supporting not only the District Governor and Cabinet, but 62 clubs in northern central California. During my year as Cabinet Secretary, I received an International Commendation from the International President of Lions Clubs International, for which I was very humbled and for which I am quite proud. The focus of Lions is on helping those who are less fortunate, with an emphasis on the sight and hearing-impaired. We make it our mission to answer the call to service in our local communities and all over the world. Our motto is "We Serve" and we take that motto to heart.

I have enjoyed living in Riverbank with my husband of 17 years, Richard, and my two daughters, Kelly and Lauren, who are now grown. I believe in the Mission outlined in the city's General Plan--that of responsible growth while maintaining the small town character of Riverbank. We live in a great city. These may be tough times, but they are also exciting times as they are filled with opportunity. I look forward to working with all of our residents to grow a stronger Riverbank together. I have answered a call to serve. I would be honored to serve you and your family. Thank you for your support and for your vote on November 2nd.
