Experience and Maturity
EXPERIENCED --

  • Service as a Council Member, making the tough decisions and solving problems;
  • Revitalization and redevelopment of downtown Riverbank.;
  • Supporter of local businesses, with the Enterprise Facilitation Project, the Riverbank Business Assn. and Riverbank Chamber of Commerce;
  • Co-founder and Managing Director of Rio Arts, Performing and Visual Arts. We brought arts and artists of all kinds to the streets and auditoriums of Riverbank.
  • Friends of Jacob Myers Park; Riverbank Historical Society; This experience allows me to help guide the present and form the future of our city.

As a veteran of 4 years in the Navy on Active Duty and about 12 years in the Reserve, I learned not only to GIVE orders but to carry them out. The most important thing I learned while in the Navy was the value of TEAMWORK.

I know how to work Co-OPERATIVELY with city staff, the Mayor and other Council members, and with other local and state governmental entities. We've got to eliminate the contention and bitterness that have become the norm in the present-day conduct of the city's business.

This animosity leads to bad decisions and mistakes that can create problems that will take years to solve.

  • » Pick Ric! For less acrimony at Council.
  • » Pick Ric! For Maturity and Good Judgement.
  • » Pick Ric! For Competence, Courage and Character.
