I moved to Hughson because it is a great place to live and raise a family. Unfortunately, as of late, Hughson has been surrounded by negativity. This must change. If I am elected to the city council, I hope to redirect the focus back to the critical issues. I hope to listen to the people and address what they feel is most important. What do the people envision for Hughson? This is at the heart of the matter; this is what is essential. As a council member, I see that my job is to represent you for the betterment of the city. First and foremost, my role as a council member is to make sure that the city and its citizens are cared for. Right now the city is working on a water treatment plant and streets. We need to continue to budget for these types of projects. These are important issues, not only for esthetics, but for the security and safety of its citizens. The city exists for its citizens. However, Hughson hasn't been the same since the pool was backfilled and the Fruit and Nut Festival cancelled. How can we make this city wonderful once again? If a pool is not feasible, can we build a water feature instead? It all comes down to this: what do the people want for this town? My message to the people of Hughson is simply this: contact me, tell me what you would like for your city. I will do all I can to listen to you and represent you. After all, I am just a regular person like you wanting to make a difference in the place I live.
