Full Biography for Tim Thiesen
Candidate for |
Tim Thiesen was born in Reedley in 1954. He was raised on the family farm between Reedley and Dinuba, working there until age 18. Tim eventually purchased his own acreage at the age of 20 and continues to farm oranges to this day. Tim is a self-made man who knows the value of hard work. He began his own family farming company, Tim Thiesen Farms, more than 30 years ago serving growers in Fresno, Tulare and Kings Counties. He also served as a farming supervisor for a prominent local tree fruit and grape growing and packing company. Over the years Tim expanded his farming business to include a trucking services division called Central Valley Products. In 2002, due to a near fatal motor vehicle accident, Tim was forced to reduce his involvement in the farming industry, but still continues to operate the family farm. While recuperating from those injuries, Tim studied and obtained his California Real Estate License. Currently, Tim works as an agent for Guarantee Real Estate, serving all of the Central Valley. Tim has been recognized as one of the company's top agents for the past two years, due in large part to his dedication to the clients whom he likes to call his extended family. As you can see, Tim Thiesen is not a career politician+ he is a lifelong Central Valley farmer and small businessman who will bring change to Sacramento. As your next State Senator, he is committed to fiscal responsibility and cutting taxes, getting our state budget back in check and turning the pumps back on. With his local experience and values, taxpayers can count on Tim Thiesen to be a strong voice for them in Sacramento. Tim and his wife Barbara live in Dinuba and are the proud parents of three sons Jeff, Dallas and Travis. Barbara works as a District Administrator for the Dinuba Unified School District. Tim and Barbara are active in the community and attend Redeemer's Church where they serve as leaders of a monthly Welcome Team and various small groups. They are longtime supporters of Dinuba and Reedley High School athletics as well as the local 4-H and FFA programs. |
