- Education: Strengthening our public schools
-
Mark Hanson, Ph.D., has been both a teacher and administrator. He understands that even in a tight economy, not providing a good education for our young people is simply mortgaging our future. He is deeply concerned about slashing education funding, high tuition costs at our colleges and universities, and dismal test scores by California schools that once led the nation. We must strengthen our public education system to help students at all levels.
- Creating jobs and revitalizing business with a new, green economy
-
Mark Hanson doesn't just talk about creating jobs. He has done it. As CEO/president of the nonprofit Heartland Coalition and United Green, he is on the cutting of the emerging green economy. His many years of experience creating good jobs and building coalitions with business and labor groups. Now he has a plan to create jobs for all Californians and revitalize our state's economy. We need Mark Hanson's vision and leadership skills in Sacramento.
