United States Representative; District 23

We need independent leadership now more than ever. The parties have failed us, passing laws that let to our economic collapse and repeatedly spending more than we have. They have favored those who pay them campaign money, and spend too much time seeking funds and working to be reelected.

I am fighting politics as it has been by refusing any donations over $250 and refusing donations of any amount from organizations or PACs. If I, as an independent, am elected on this platform, it will send a message nationwide that will make our district the pride of our nation. It will motivate others to follow, and will be a trigger for genuine campaign finance reform, and broader reform of how Congress operates.

In raising my five children, I emphasized teaching them to think independently. That ability, to follow a course not because others are doing it but because it is right, is what our democracy needs today. When you vote in this election, please think independently.
