Budget & SpendingBy Michael J. EssweinCandidate for Member of the State Assembly; District 29 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
No new taxes, minimum spending cuts, look for new sources of revenue.I will not raise taxes on hard working families and small businesses. Just like California's working do every month, the State of California must balance its checkbook. My strategy on balancing the budget is a three-pronged approach. By creating jobs we increase tax base and decrease the demand for social services. I believe that we need a serious and honest audit of all government programs to cut out wasteful bureaucracy. And I believe that California should make a greater effort to collect tax money already owed, much of it from large corporations. |
