Council Member; City of Healdsburg; 4 Year Full Term

Jim Wood and his family have lived in Healdsburg for the last 21 years.

Jim is a family practice dentist with an office in Cloverdale since 1987. In addition he is a forensic consultant to 4 counties and the California Department of Justice.

Prior to his election to the City Counil in 2006, he served on the Healdsburg Planning Commission from 2002-2006.

Over the last four years on the City Council, Jim has worked on financial policies to help create budget stability to protect vital city services, establishing a common sense Green Building ordinance and water conservation measures, creating a city policy to give preference to local businesses when the city needs goods and services, seeking greater opportunities for open space for public access, recreation and conservation.

Jim has also been an active volunteer leader with the California Dental Association with a mission to improve access to affordable, high quality dental care for all Californians.
