Petaluma is a unique and wonderful place to live. Having lived here since childhood, I am committed to maintaining the historic nature of Petaluma and creating good paying jobs for all our residents, while protecting our natural environment for generations to come. I am committed to keeping safe the most vulnerable among us. We need to ensure our children can make it to and from school safely, our elders have the resources they need to live fulfilling lives, and the jobless are able to return to work. As the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Kaiser Permanente in Marin and Sonoma counties, I develop plans for maintaining health services in the event of a disaster. This experience combined with my position as Chair of the Sonoma County Community Development Committee provide me with unique skills needed to plan for new economic development, job creation, and prosperity in our community. Prior to serving on the Community Development Committee I was the Chair of the Sonoma County Mental Health Board. I have also served on the Buckelew Programs Board of Directors, City of Petaluma Tree Advisory Committee, and the Kaiser Permanente Research Program on Genes, Environment and Health Community Advisory Board. Additionally, I have volunteered for the Old Adobe Union School District Outdoor Education Camp for the past 15 years, and the Sonoma County Hazardous Materials Response Team for 8 years.
