It gives me a great deal of pride to offer my endorsement of Jarred C. Jones' candidacy for the school board of Wright Elementary School District.

As a former teacher, administrator and superintendent with forty years of experience, it is critically important to identify community leaders who are willing to put children first. School board members must also promote teaching and learning while insisting accountability across the school district. I know that my son will constantly endeavor to maintain integrity and fiscal responsibility in addition to providing collaborative stewardship for the students and parents of the community.

To Whom It May Concern,

Since becoming the Executive Director of the Polly KlaasŪ Foundation in February 2006, I have been working with the Board of Directors to recruit top-level professional talent to serve on the governing body of the organization. We have been fortunate that Mr. Jarred Jones chose our Foundation to be the beneficiaries of his rich background and extraordinary expertise. The comments I share include my own experience working with him coupled with my knowledge of his many personal and professional accomplishments.

Established in 1993, the Polly KlaasŪ Foundation is a nationally recognized Public Benefit Corporation dedicated to finding missing children and providing parents and law enforcement professionals with "state-of-the-art" abduction prevention education programs. Mr. Jones joined our Board of Directors because of his abiding concern for the health, safety, and well-being of children everywhere.

In my thirty-five years as an administrator and manager I've had the opportunity to serve as the CEO of four organizations under the direction of seven Board's all of them comprised of extremely competent highly trained professionals from a cross-section of different disciplines. Without question Mr. Jones is one of the most astute, "can-do" creative problem solvers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. As a key member of our Strategic Planning Steering Committee he clearly demonstrates the combined skills of an educator, facilitator and communicator in both the spoken and written form. Moreover, his leadership style is exemplary and a superb model to others.

A collaborator and innovator, Mr. Jones always brings new ideas to the table enabling our organization to find more effective and efficient ways to carry out its mission. He has the unique ability to see both the big picture as well as the details when establishing the objectives of a particular enterprise and he looks upon new challenges as opportunities for change and growth.

I have always found him to be accessible, unflappable under pressure, and a reliable source of support. He has the unique ability to help create an environment of enthusiasm and "buy-in" where accountability and collective participation result in successful outcomes. In that spirit he is always open-minded and respectful of everyone's point of view. He has a way of bringing together the past, present and future to create common ground and a solid platform for constructive dialogue.

In summary, Jarred Jones is a bright, articulate, highly motivated leader who is an upbeat inspiration to others. He operates on the facts, is open to new ideas and is diligent in exploring creative ways to overcome obstacles to success. He is compassionate, entirely trustworthy and a model to others for having unwavering standards of professional conduct and personal integrity. He has been a source of tremendous support to those associated with our agency and has kept all of us mindful of our mission and purpose.

In my view any community organization involved in public policy and governance who seeks people that will add value to their vision, will not hesitate to add Jarred Jones to their roster of associates.
