Experience Counts, Especially in Times of CrisisBy Stan GreenbergCandidate for Board Member; Wright School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
In this time of reduced public school funding, my 16 continuous years of experience as a conscientious, thoughtful Wright District Governing Board Member equip me to help the District maintain both its superior educational programs and its fiscal health.Experience counts, especially in times of crisis. Public education now is in the midst of a funding crisis, an effect of the Great Recession. I am privileged to have served on the Wright District Governing Board these past 16 years -- including through previous funding challenges -- supporting and encouraging the Wright District's steady academic growth while maintaining the District's fiscal health. In addition to my 16 years' Board member experience, I have the past 28 years' experience as an attorney representing debtors in bankruptcy and, for 15 of those years, taxpayers in disputes with the I.R.S. and other taxing agencies. Serving my clients includes advising them on how to live within budgetary constraints. I am committed to using my experience and my best judgment to help maintain, and continue improving, the District's superior educational programs during these fiscally challenging times. Thank you for your vote to retain the benefit of valuable experience on the Wright District Governing Board. |
