Reducing the 10.9 million dollar Harbor District debt is a top priority.
A successful marketing program is vital to the future of the Harbor District. Oyster Point Marina and Pillar Point Harbor should have individual marketing plans to increase revenues and pay for improvements. Building public awareness is an important and necessary step towards fiscal sustainability. Its time to expand public outreach through community organizations, seasonal events, the news media and social media. A thriving Harbor District will benefit county residents, business owners, the commercial fishing industry, visitors, and the local workforce. |
