My name is Marilyn Rodger. My husband and I have lived in Los Osos for fourteen years. We have two children, ages 13 and 17, who have attended Baywood Elementary School, Los Osos Middle School, and Morro Bay High School.Over the last nine years, I have been privileged to support education for San Luis Coastal children in a number of ways. I served nine years on the Baywood School Site Council, and one year on Site Council at Los Osos Middle School. While involved at Baywood School, I was the parent liaison to the District for the GATE program for two years, and was the Baywood parent representative to the District's Supplemental Curriculum Adoption Committee. I was honored to be selected for the Superintendent's Budget Project Team for the academic year 2000-2001, and to be asked to return when the Budget Team was reconvened the following year. Most recently, I have been serving on the Superintendent's Ad Hoc Advisory Committee, which has spent the last year pursuing areas of revenue generation for SLCUSD.
