Candidate for
Mayor; City of Paso Robles

As a long time resident and downtown business owner for over 26 years, I feel I am most qualified to know Paso Robles and its needs. As a business owner, I know the daily challenges that face a business and I learned how to survive through tough economic times without having to close my business. I understand the importance of parking and the positive impact of tourism. While running a local business, I also raised my children here, together with my wife of 45 years, Rose Marie. I recognize the needs of families and I have been involved in many Paso Robles youth sports including football and baseball, where I still umpire today I have volunteered in many organizations consistently over the years. This was my 40th year of cooking beans in the Park for Pioneer Day! I have actively solicited donations to fund events such as the Fourth of July Fireworks. I have been a Planning Commissioner for the City of Paso Robles and a City Councilman along with serving on the LAFCO Board for over 20 years all of which provide me extensive land use and planning understanding. I have vast knowledge of our underlying roads, utilities, infrastructure, and policies. I have worked on numerous fiscal budget committees and chaired focus groups. I know that decisions need to be based on financial quality not on the financial popularity of the decision. My experience makes me know the needs and time commitments of a Mayor. I am available full time to spend the time it takes to be the Mayor which includes traveling throughout the County and State to various Mayor meetings, League of Cities meetings, and individual meetings with County Supervisor Frank Meacham. I am the most knowledgeable of all candidates regarding the issues and challenges facing the City. I do not have another job or special interest; therefore, I can handle the workload and responsibility which come with the job. This, combined with my good health and support of my family, make me the best choice for the Mayor of Paso Robles!
