Candidate for
Councilmember; City of Atascadero

I am pleased about what we have accomplished and even more excited about what we are about to do.

Our community has accomplished much: downtown revitalization, Galaxy Theaters, Lewis Avenue and 41/101 bridges, supported emergency services and refurbished our Zoo.

I graduated from AHS, was Student Body President at Cuesta College and earned degrees from UCSB (Economics) and Cal Poly. My wife, Peggy is an AUSD Teacher. We have three grown children: Maggie Roe, Merry Reynolds and Trevor O'Malley. We are all Atascadero natives. Peggy and I own and operate Portola Inn B&B and Portola Event Planning. I am active in Calvary Chapel Church, Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis. I am the son of one of Atascadero's first firefighters and I have worked hard to increase public safety staff and replace outdated equipment.

As Chairperson of the SLO Council of Governments I have fought for funding our Highway 101/41 overpass, Lewis Avenue Bridge and many other local road improvements. As your representative with the League of California Cities I fight State take-aways to preserve local dollars for local services and schools.

I will work hard for Atascadero to create a balanced local economy and keep our sales tax dollars at home; to become the center of the Central Coast's regional tourism and to preserve our small town atmosphere.

I am your city councilperson. I respectfully ask for your vote on November 2nd.
