Sandra Timmons is a leader, an educator, a mother and a volunteer. For the past 25 years Sandra has dedicated herself to the education and development of children and adolescents because she believes an excellent public education is the foundation of a strong democracy. She believes education empowers and enriches the lives of students and the surrounding community, and she wants to make sure it is available to all. Her tireless work on behalf of children and adolescents has radiated beyond local schools and into the community. Her involvement includes:

• PTA President at Park Dale Lane Elementary
• President of the Encinitas Education Foundation
• President of the San Dieguito Academy Foundation
• Board of directors for the San Diego Children's Choir

Her broad range of talents and skills give her a multi-dimensional foundation, which will bring a unique and creative perspective to the school board. Sandra understands the nuances of our district and inspires teachers, parents and children, her actions benefiting our entire community.
