MARLA STRICH IS A PROVEN LEADER

A member of the EUSD board since 1998, she has served as both president and vice president of the board three times. Marla has spearheaded two successful superintendent searches. She serves on the EUSD Strategic Planning and Legislative Action Committees.

MARLA STRICH IS COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION FOR THE CHILDREN OF ENCINITAS AND SOUTH CARLSBAD

During her board tenure, Encinitas schools have been recognized repeatedly for high academic achievement. Test scores are among the highest in the county and state. All schools have been named California Distinguished Schools, and three have been designated National Blue Ribbon Schools.

MARLA STRICH IS AN EFFECTIVE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER

In addition to her duties within EUSD, she served as President of the San Dieguito Academy Foundation, and on the San Dieguito Union High School District Strategic Planning Committee and North Coastal Legislative Action Network. She was Ocean Knoll School's 2002 Volunteer of the Year.

MARLA STRICH IS A WISE STEWARD OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS In these difficult times, EUSD continues on sound financial footing, experiencing fewer cuts than neighboring districts. Marla demonstrates fiscal responsibility by adopting balanced budgets.
