Katherine understands that San Diego's children face a future that we are only beginning to understand. She knows that it is critical for our students to have the best and broadest education possible to help them in their adult lives. In this economic climate that's a challenge that requires keen prioritization and commitment to those priorities. As a Trustee of the Board of Education, Katherine has reviewed the San Diego Unified School District and made changes from top to bottom, in technology, finance, communication, legislative advocacy and parent involvement, but always with our children's education in mind.
