Steven McDowell has an MBA with 25 years experience as an executive in the defense and telecommunications industries. He professionally helps companies and volunteer organizations make good financial decisions through long-term financial planning, accurate budgeting and performance analysis. He is an active parent in the classroom, with two children at Del Mar Heights and one at Earl Warren Middle School.

Steven is very active in the community serving on the Del Mar Little League Board, the Del Mar City Traffic and Parking Advisory Committee, and the North Coastal Council PTA. In the past he has been involved with the DMCV Soccer League, the North Shore Girls Softball League, the Del Mar Heights PTA and the YMCA Adventure Guides as a Nation Chief.
