Candidate for
Board Member; Encinitas Union Elementary School District

Bill lives in Encinitas with his wife Sharon and their sons Blake and Brian who attend Flora Vista Elementary School in EUSD. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Bentley University with a concentration in Computer Science and has been a financial professional for over twenty years.

His goal in running for an open school board position is to look out for the best interests of the students in the district. The McCorkles moved from an elementary school district in Massachusetts which was ranked as one of the top school districts in the country, and Bill would like to help Encinitas attain that same distinction.

Bill has been active in Encinitas through school and community organizations, including the Encinitas Educational Foundation (EEF) where he served as the chairman of the EEF Fore the Kids! Golf Tournament. Bill has been a volunteer coach for youth Baseball, Basketball, Football and Ice Hockey for the past 25 years.

Bill is the Chief Financial Officer for Greene Properties, Inc., a commercial property management company in Vista. In previous positions, he has received an award for Excellence in Capital Budgeting, and a Meritorious Award for Operational Budgeting from the California Municipal Finance Officers Association. He has also received a Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.

Bill is a member of the Board of Directors for the Carlsbad Research Center Owners Association and the Bressi Ranch Owners Association. Mr. McCorkle also serves as a Company Officer and/or Director for more than 5 other companies.
