Political Philosophy for Deanne Markle
Candidate for |

|
My core value: No matter what the skill level of the child, each one deserves to be challenged and engaged. As we all know times are tough but even with the cuts to the district we can still shine and be an example to other school districts in our community. The children have a right to a quality education no matter what the circumstances are. My Priorities: Level the playing field in the district. All children deserve to be challenged and engaged, from the below basic to the advanced. We need to teach the whole child at their specific level. Let teachers "teach" their students. Give them the authority to take control of their classrooms and explore new avenues of reaching the children in these diverse times. Receive input from parents and teachers, not politicians and unions. More accountability on behalf of the teachers, students and parents. The relationship between school and home is essential to the success of the student. |
