My Ballot Statement

By Cindy Gray

Candidate for Board Member; Encinitas Union Elementary School District

This information is provided by the candidate
The below statement summarizes why I will make a great choice for Governing Board Member of EUSD.
As a parent of two children in the Encinitas Union School District, I have been an active volunteer in this district for the past 5 years.

I have served in the classroom, with the Parent Teacher Association, and as an alternate for our School Site Council at Capri Elementary School. In addition, I have served on the district board of the Encinitas Educational Foundation for 3 years, have been an active fundraiser and written and received grants for our school.

As a Board Member of EUSD, I will work to ensure that we truly make children our focus in all aspects of decision making.

I hold a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo, and I have an extensive background in finance. I will demonstrate the fiscal oversight and accountability this district needs and ensure our tax dollars are managed wisely.

I will approach each issue with an open mind and form a conclusion based on much thought and careful evaluation, always keeping in mind the needs of our children.

I am willing and eager to devote the time and energy this position requires.

I would appreciate your vote for Encinitas Union School Board.
