Candidate for
Board Member; Poway Unified School District

It is time for change and as a 17-year resident of the Poway Unified School District, CEO of a software company, an Elected Member of the Rancho Bernardo Recreation Council and a parent with elementary and middle school students; I share your concern for our community and its children. With three school age children I am vested in our school system for many years to come. I have been active in our children's school by volunteering at the school, member of the School Site Council, PTA and was voted as one of the 2009 PUSD School Site Volunteers of the Year.

The students of the PUSD are my primary focus. I am looking to run a race where we make sure the students and parents are heard. I have spoken with our State Assemblyman, Nathan Fletcher on changing how Sacramento funds the PUSD school system, who is doing that now?

I am in support of the school leaders, community and unions coming together in a united front for changes to happen in Sacramento. School and student safety is a crucial concern.

I have Nathan Fletcher, State Assemblyman, Carl De Maio Council Member, Council District 5, and Brent King's Endorsements. With their support we can expand on our current working relationships to benefit PUSD's budget crises and continue on the path of child safety.

Now, more than ever, is the time to have a solution that is more than just "managing the budget".

This is the time to change the way Sacramento funds our schools.
