- Making informed decisions by using research and educational literature to guide practice and by analyzing state, district, and teacher assessment data to make program decisions, determine student interventions and enrichments, and inform classroom instruction
- Making connections to increase online communication at the district and school level, to explore educational program options, to cultivate partnerships to support student programs, and to develop career tech options
- Using professional development to support staff in the implementation of essential elements of instruction, standards-based curriculum and assessment, content specific instructional strategies, technology, guided language acquisition design, gifted and talented education, and special education services
- Maintaining a culture of excellence by developing site specific goals, building instructional leadership capacity, assessing facility needs, supporting a college-bound culture, infusing technology into everyday practice, and providing collaboration opportunities for teachers and administrators
- Raising student achievement by increasing academic achievement as measured by the following: California Standards Test (CST), Academic Performance Index (API), California English Language Development Test for English Language Learners (CELDT), Phonemic Awareness for Kindergarten, students reading at grade level in grades 1-3, students proficient in Algebra I, 10th graders passing California High School Exit Exam, students on track for Partners Advancing College Education, students meeting A-G requirements, and students meeting graduation credit requirements.
