A LIFELONG EDUCATOR- Bill was appointed to the MiraCosta Board of Trustees in April 2009 to fill a vacancy. The appointment process was rigorous and competitive. With his diplomatic style, Bill quickly brought harmony and cooperation to the MiraCosta board.

Bill is a highly experienced, innovative and successful leader and educator. He taught students and held leadership positions as a department chair and vice-provost at the University at Buffalo- a major public research university and the flagship campus of the New York State University system.

Bill lives in Oceanside with his wife Susan, a retired psychotherapist. They have two married sons, four grandchildren and numerous friends across the country. In addition to his commitment to higher education and MiraCosta College, he remains active as a jazz trombonist as much as time allows.
