Board Member; Lemon Grove Elementary School District

Providing a safe learning environment is critical for the success of every student. Ensuring we have all the tools available to provide a safe leaning environment is extremely important to me. With the State continuing to cut money from our budgets, we have been forced to increase class size. The Board is doing it's best to keep cuts as far away from the classroom as possible, but with 90% of our budget going to salaries and benefits these are difficult decisions. As a member of the Delegate Assembly for the California School Boards Association I will continue to make our voices heard at the State level and fight to restore funding to education. Our children deserve the best - an education that will give them the best opportunity to successfully compete in a global society. If re-elected, I promise to continue to look down every path for opportunities to help us help our children succeed.
