Personal Information Marc is a life-long San Diegan and has spent the majority of his 44 years here. He married Karen Mickelsen in 1988 and together they have 7 children, ages 5-20 (1 boy and 6 girls). Marc lived in San Diego until 2007 when he and his family moved to Poway. Education High School: San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), San Diego Unified, (1984) College: Bachelor of Arts, Economics, Brigham Young University (1990) Professional: Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) Certificant, The College of Financial Planning (1993) Professional Information Marc is the President and Founder of Davis & Seiley Wealth Management which he started in 1994. The company provides comprehensive financial planning and wealth management to 150 client groups, with $72 million in assets under management. Community Service Vice President, Salvation Army Metropolitan Advisory Board (2008-present). Marc has also served as Chairman of the Planned Giving Committee and on various other committees with the Salvation Army since 1998. President, James A. Milligan Foundation (1997-present). A small San Diego non-profit that provides support to people in need. President, San Diego Stake, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1995-2004). Held responsibility for all pastoral service and financial budgets for 3,500 congregants and 6 congregations (both English and Spanish). Also served in various volunteer positions for over 25 years, including two years of full time service in Ireland. Scoutmaster & Varsity Coach, Boy Scouts of America (2004-2007). Served in various adult volunteer positions with the Boy Scouts since 1992. Marc is also an Eagle Scout. Youth Athletics Coach, Rolando Little League and Crusaders Soccer (multiple times) |
