Andres Quintero is a lifelong resident of San Jose. Having lived in various neighborhoods throughout the city, Andres has had the opportunity to experience the richness and vibrancy of the city, first hand.

As a child, Andres attended Robert F. Kennedy and Jane R. Meadows which are part of the Franklin-McKinley School District. Subsequently, Andres moved to the Evergreen School District where he attended Millbrook Elementary and Quimby Oak Middle School, ultimately graduating from Mount Pleasant High School.

Upon graduation from High School, Andres entered Evergreen Valley College where he graduated with an Associate's Degree in Psychology. Thereafter, Andres transferred to San Jose State University where he earned a degree in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy and Public Administration. Upon completion of his Baccalaureate Degree, Andres was accepted into the Public Administration program at San Jose State University.

Aside from his studies, Andres has invested time and effort in honing his leadership skills through participation in various leadership programs and internships. In 2003, Andres joined a class of 30 students from throughout the nation that were selected by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus for a prestigious Summer Leadership Institute in Washington, DC. Concurrently, Andres had the opportunity to Intern for Congresswoman Lofgren during the summer of 2003. In 2004, Andres interned for the US District court Northern District of California. Upon graduation from College, Andres had the distinction of being selected to form part of the Jesse Unruh, Assembly Fellows Program.

Andres' professional life began when he was hired by then San Jose City Councilmember Forrest Williams. Andres worked for the residents of District 2 until Councilmember Williams termed out in December of 2008. At present, Andres works for Santa Clara County Supervisor George Shirakawa in the capacity of Education & Health Analyst.

Mr. Quintero resides in the district with his wife and daughter.
