Candidate for
Council Member; City of Monte Sereno

The City must answer to its residents--this is the basis of our democracy. As a council member I will never forget this basic principle. I will always be available to listen to the needs and concerns of our residents. One of my strengths is my ability to work with people and listen to all sides of an issue and work with all parties to ensure that if an equitable solution is there, I will find and implement it.

I believe for Monte Sereno residents to be able to more effectively participate in matters affecting the City we must do a better job of communicating with the residents. Posting notices of certain public meetings on a couple of telephone poles on Daves Avenue and Bicknell Road, while it may meet legal notice requirements, is not an effective means of communicating with residents. I will make sure the City uses technology it already has to better inform residents of what is going on in the City. For examples of how this can be done, please review electronic communications.
