I have spent the past 6 years as a member of the Campbell Union School District Governing Board, serving as Clerk, Vice-President, and currently as its President. I am also active in the Santa Clara County School Boards Association, and was elected as a Region 20 Delegate to the California School Boards Association.

During my years of service, I have not seen anything like the fiscal crisis public schools are experiencing right now. But I am proud to say that while districts around us place 30 kindergarteners in a class and cut school days, CUSD still has small classes, a full school year, full-day kindergarten and summer school, and remains fiscally sound. But most importantly, our students continue to grow and excel academically and emotionally.

My children cover three educational levels: college, middle school and high school. My children's academic experiences range from GATE to Special Education. I have been a parent at 4 of our 8 elementary schools and 2 of our 3 middle schools. This provides me with a broad perspective of our students, our schools, and our programs as a member of the Board.

I work part-time as a Software Engineer for Oracle Corporations, and an am active member of 100 Women Charitable Foundation - a philanthropic group that gives grants to local non-profits that support our community in the areas of Education, Family (women and children); and Health & Wellness.

I am the product of California public education - starting in kindergarten at Santa Margarita Elementary in Terra Linda, all the way through earning a Master's degree in from UC Berkeley. I have lived in California my whole life and in Campbell for the last 13 years.
