? 1. Are the schools offering instruction appropriate to the diverse educational abilities of all the students?

Answer from Arati Nagaraj:

Teachers in our school district conduct mulitple intelligent surveys in the classrooms. The results of this survey are entered into a Data Management System that gives the teachers a snapshot of the students' learning styles in their classroom. This helps teachers better undertand their students and thus enables them to tailor their teaching to the different needs of their students.

Our school district prides itself in providing a balanced curriculum -- Academic, Physical, Social-Emotional, and Arts -- to our students. This gives students with varying interests and abilities to thrive in their own special way.

? 2. Where do want the district to be 5 years from now? What steps should the district take to get there?

Answer from Arati Nagaraj:

I would like to see the continued Academic excellence that is demonstrated by our students due to the excellent teaching staff and support provided by our community and educational foundation. In addition, the implementation the Social-Emotional Literacy curriculum via Project Cornerstone to the students, parents, administration, teachers, and community is an important step towards achieving a balanced curriculum. In order to see this to fruition, the district and the community needs to: 1) Use funds appropriately and resources creatively 2) Be aware of the needs of ALL students and parents in the district and have an open dialog 3) Retain our excellent teaching staff 4) Contribute our time and money to our schools by volunteering and donating to SEF and PTA
