Vice Mayor Ed Graham Ed was elected to the charter City Council when Chino Hills became a City in 1991. He was re-elected in 1994, 1998, 2002, and 2006. He has served four terms as Mayor. Before Chino Hills became a City he was appointed to the Chino Hills Municipal Advisory Council, an advisory body that considered local issues and made recommendations to the Fourth District Supervisor of the County of San Bernardino. Community Involvement Ed enjoys communicating with the public and being accessible to his constituents. He regularly schedules community meetings in the Butterfield Ranch area of Chino Hills and he provides articles to local publications to keep the public up-to-date on community issues. He strongly supports community events in Chino Hills and can always be found at Concerts in the Park and at the Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Picnic at Big League Dreams. Education & Professional Experience Ed was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from California State University, Fullerton. He was President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Ed recently retired as Vice Principal at Pioneer Junior High School in Upland after a 34-year career in education. He is an active member of the Upland-Foothill Kiwanis Club where he has served in all of the leadership positions, including President. During his career in education, he served in a variety of roles including 15 years as varsity basketball coach and teacher. Part of his career was spent in the Chino Valley Unified School District where he was a teacher and later, a teaching Vice Principal. Ed currently works as Senior Field Representative for California State Assemblyman Curt Hagman. Family Ed and his wife, Denise, were married in 1977. Denise is an elementary school teacher in Chino Hills. The Grahams moved to Chino Hills in 1988, attracted by the rolling hills and rural atmosphere. They wanted to raise their three sons in this family-oriented community. Kyle, Jarad, and Brett all attended Chino Valley Unified Schools. Kyle is an Aerospace Engineer for Northrop/Grumman in Palmdale. Jarad is an Actuarial Analyst in Risk Management with Pacific Life. Brett finished two tours in Iraq with the Army and is now serving in Afghanistan on a contract with the Department of Defense. Ed and Denise are longtime members of Inland Hills Church. |
