Member, Governing Board; Fontana Unified School District

As a proud resident of Fontana, FUSD Mom and Education Advocate, my motivation is simple-I am passionate about education!

Fontana schools are at a crossroads. FUSD has made strides in improving achievement at some of our elementary schools, but too many middle school students arrive at high school two or more grade levels behind. Students are unprepared for a rigorous high school curriculum. The frustration of being left behind leads too many students to give up and drop out.

My education and experience makes me the most qualified candidate for this position. As a former teacher, I have a unique understanding of the needs of teachers, students and parents. I will fight to ensure all students have access to effective and highly qualified teachers. We cannot continue firing teachers. We must keep teachers in the classroom! Our number one goal should be to provide a quality education to all students. The district should perform as a cohesive unit including board members, district personnel, staff, teachers, parents and community members.

Another goal must be to prudently manage and administer the funds allocated to education. The state is in a financial crisis and we must do more with less. Let's ensure that school resources deliver the greatest educational benefit for all students . I am ready to devote the time and energy that this community deserves!
