A letter from my daughter-in-law of 11 yearsDear Neighbors, I am honored to be able to write this letter to you about my mother-in-law, Leticia Garcia. To be perfectly honest, she is more than an "in-law," she is like my own mother. I have known her for half of my life which equates to about 15 years. From the beginning and through the years, she has always been an inspiration to me with her words of encouragement to continue my educational goals and aspirations. She never once stopped believing in me, even when I got married at nineteen and had her first grandchild the same year. It's this kind of love and support that we receive from her continually that makes me proud to write to all the women voters out there. My mother in law, Leticia will be an asset to the Fontana Unified School District and community at large. I know because I have seen her in action in various projects, employers, outreach, and in family relations. She has integrity, excellent communication skills, patience, and is passionate. I know she will use those ideals that I've always had the pleasure of witnessing to establish a vision for Fontana schools. She has this amazing ability to connect with students, as I witnessed when she was a Teacher. Even more, she is able to approach volatile subjects that most people are afraid to speak about, and make people listen. She is never concerned with being on the popular side. Her only concern is being on the right side for the children. I believe it's those gifts that make her a perfect candidate for member of the Fontana School Board. She is 100% reliable and open to hearing each individual that has an idea or problem. If you choose to vote for my mother, you will be pleased to have her on the side of your children and an even bigger part of your community. I urge you, vote for change, vote for Leticia Garcia. Sincerely, Sylvia Ornelas |
