Mike Kozlowski is an Architect, project manager and youth coach. Mike provides planning, design and project management services and lectures on green building and project management topics. Mike Coaches Track and Field at Vista del Lago High School. Mike is sports announcer, presenting Varsity Football and Basketball games for Vista.

Mike has coached baseball, soccer and Track & Field and was a Cub Scout leader. Mike has mentored high school students at Folsom High School interested in careers in the building industry. Mike teaches the teachers for the El Dorado Union High School district on career paths in Construction, Architecture, Engineering and Green jobs so they can mentor their students.

Mike is active in the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH), the Lean Construction Institute, the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange, The American Institute of Architects, the National Federation High School Coaches Association (NFHS), and USA Track and Field (USATF) as a Certified Youth Coach.

Mike is a native of Chicago, Illinois has lived in Houston and Austin Texas and the suburbs of Detroit Michigan. Aside from having mixed loyalties to professional sports teams from around the country, he has picked up valuable observations about community planning and local governments along the way.

Mike started his working life by folding and stocking jeans at a Mervyn's store while in High school. Mike kept that job at Mervyn's for 11 years. Through several promotions he rose to the position of Operations Manager and the responsibility for all Human resource management for as many as 200 employees.

Mike is passionate designer, and a pragmatic project manager. Mike has designed projects for, small business owners, national retailers, school districts and individual homeowners.

Success in Architecture requires a balanced set of skills; the concentration and focus of a scientist for technical issues and the flair and creativity of an artist. More importantly it requires a humble but firm hand and the wisdom to know when to apply each skill to its best effect.

Mike Kozlowski, holds Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. Mike competes in Masters track and field events and runs road races at all distances from 5k to marathon. Mike and his wife Kim are currently training for the 2011 LA Marathon. He and Kim have been married for 18 years. They have three children.
