Why choose me?By Teri BurnsCandidate for Board Member; Natomas Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
You should choose me because of my thorough knowledge of educational programs and finance, including statewide best practices. In these difficult times, you should choose me because of my deep understanding of the complicated nature of school budgets and my efforts to make sure our district remains fiscally sound. I have worked with school districts from the State Dept. of Education perspective, the county office perspective and the local district perspective. I know how programs were intended to work and how they operate in real life. I know the best practices being used across the state and how to apply them to our district. I have a proven long commitment to our district and community. I continue to educate myself about school programs and finances. I have experience with the rapid growth Natomas seen in the past and that we will see again in the years ahead. I am proud that we have always had sufficient quality facilities to meet the demand. I'm proud of our staff and the great things they share with our students every single day that lead each one to success. I stand ready to support their activities in the schools that lead this year to significant increases in test scores. |
