How to Pay for Public Education ReformBy Bob TuckerCandidate for Board Member; Garden Grove Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Tax Reform. State Budget Reform. Health and Welfare Reform.Tax Reform: Advocate in Sacramento for a fair tax system that does not leave school district funding to the mercy of the ups and downs of the economy. Moderate bipartisan tax reform proposals that enhance revenue in a growing state should be gradually implemented. State Budget Reform: Support Prop 25. Stop the madness of minority party rule on state budget approval. Simple majority voting must prevail over the current 2/3 vote rule just like 48 other states in the USA. Health and Welfare Reform: Support "Single Payer" or universal health care in California. This will get school districts out of the health care business and free up monies for the classroom. Eliminating the middle men (Insurance Companies) cost will pay for health insurance for all, especially our children. |
