This year's election will be a referendum on elected officials at all levels of government-how well they manage taxpayer dollars, how responsive they are to the public needs and how accountable they are to their constituents.Continuing the free flow of water to our residents at the most economical cost will be my continued goal for MWDOC. I will continue to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of water to prepare for current and future growth. This year's election will be a referendum on elected officials at all levels of government, how well they manage taxpayer dollars, how responsive they are to the public needs and how accountable they are to their constituents. When I was appointed to MWDOC one year ago, I vowed to make sure the residents of Orange County continued to receive the highest quality water with uninterrupted service at the best possible rates. Within days of my appointment, I led an effort to stop a planned water rate increase and a union backed pension spike. Today I am the Vice President of MWDOC and led the efforts to reduce the agency's budget over $600,000, reduced rate increases by 50%, held the line on staff salaries and cut the Director's pay by 5%. In recognition of my leadership on water issues, I am honored to have the support of elected officials at the federal, state, county and local level. Thanks for your support. |
