Many of the elected officials in this country have lost touch with the people they represent and lost sight of what their primary responsibility is - to serve the people.

This election is an opportunity to provide new and honest leadership to the families, residents, and workers of Aliso Viejo. This country, as a whole, is lacking the leadership it deserves. I want to bring the proven leadership skills I have to local government and the people in this city.

If elected, as City Councilmember I promise:

1. First and foremost, I will conduct a citywide evaluation of all streets and neighborhoods to ensure that they are the safest they can be for all residents and children. For example, reducing the speed of vehicle traffic traveling along Golf Drive within the Glenwood at Aliso Viejo housing development.

2. I will perform a top-down review and analysis of all city-owned and managed properties, including the Aliso Viejo Conference Center and Aquatic Center, and how they should best serve the residents of the city.

3. I will carry out a thorough review of all city contracts and agreements and will guarantee 100% transparency and accountability to the city's taxpayers. Also, I will review and thoroughly consider all proposals and reports brought before the council. There will be no rubber stamps with my name on it.

4. I will propose innovative ways to bring new corporations and businesses to the city, and as a result reduce the city's commercial space vacancy rate and bring new jobs to the city.

5. Every day, I myself, along with other residents in Aliso Viejo and Americans all across the country, are working twice as hard to keep what we have so that they we may live a good and decent life. Once elected, I will make Aliso Viejo city government work twice as hard for us and once again make city government accountable to the people.

6. I'm not a political or government insider and see a real opportunity to bring the financial and business experience I earned in the private sector to the city council. I live in the "real world" and have experienced first-hand how government works and know what needs to be changed and improved to make our community better.

It's time to elect people we know and care about to look out for our best interests and I promise to fight for you!

Please vote for me, Daniel Sydor, and together we can take a stand and take our city and country back on November 2nd!
