Candidate StatementBy Elizabeth "Beth" SwiftCandidate for Council Member; City of Buena Park | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I am running for Council to bring my professional experience and my commitment to our community to the City Council. Together we can work for a better Buena Park.Buena Park is my home--I have lived here all my life, met and married my husband Greg here, raised four daughters. Four of our grandchildren and their parents live here. As with my family, I will model pride in our Buena Park heritage. Buena Park is my workplace--I taught for fifteen years at Buena Park High School, where I coordinated a program for high achievers, Advanced Academics Academy. As at school, I will diligently fulfill my responsibilities. Buena Park is my place of service--I have served on the Buena Park School District Board for thirty-one years, and I am active in Rotary. As on the School Board, I will make decisions in the best interests of Buena Park citizens. My priorities are to strengthen qualities that make Buena Park a family-friendly, business-welcoming, education-oriented community. We must enhance services that promote a safe, beautiful, and resource-rich environment while creating local jobs through tourism and other business opportunities. I ask you now to vote for me as together we work for a better Buena Park. Please call 714-313-9092 or visit bethswiftforcitycouncil.com. |
