Candidate for
Board Member; Irvine Ranch Water District

I have worked in the water industry for over 35 years. During that time I have provided consulting engineering services to numerous water agencies throughout Orange County. That experience has given me invaluable ensite into all phases of the operation of special district such as Irvine Ranch Water District.This expeience has been invaluable in my service on the Board and has allowed me to focus on the important areas of our service to our customers.

I also possess over 8 years experience serving on the board of directors of two water districts in the county. This background has provided me with a clear understanding of importance of maintaining a safe, reliable supply of high quality water for our customers at the lowest feasible cost. I am proud of the fact that our District has some of the lowest rates in the county while maintaining one of the most diversified and reliable water supply portfolios of any agency in the state. We pioneered the allocation based rate structure which has enabled our customers to maintain some of the lowest per capita water usages in the state. We also reclaim over 20% of our wastewater flows and are recognized leaders in the fields of reclamation and conservation.

My my college degree gives me a firm belief in the importance of education and I strive to partner with our schools whenever possible. Currenty, we support programs through the Discovery Science Center and the Sea and Sage Audoubon Society to teach our children the importance of being good stewards of our water resources and our environment.
