As a 20 year resident of Buena Park, I understand the priorities and concerns of residents. Along with my husband Al, we raised three children, all attending local surrounding schools within the Centralia and Anaheim Union School Districts. My experience as a parent, community member, and employee brings a balance to the Centralia School District School Board that reflects every stakeholder.

As a long time volunteer I have my finger on the pulse of the community. I have donated my time to various youth organizations within both school districts and local community youth. I have been a devoted member of San Marino School Site Council and Walker Jr. High. I have provided the community with leadership at both a local level of San Marino PTA and the Buena Park PTA Council. I continued to represent parents and students in booster clubs at John F. Kennedy High School. I have been five year board member and President of the La Palma Continental Little League. I am extremely proud to have received a Honorary Service Award from both San Marino PTA and Buena Park Council PTA.

I continue to be a voice for my coworkers by representing school employees as a C.S.E.A. Vice President and Secretary during my employment at both the school site, district office level and in the Business Office. My 15 years of various services give me an excellent understanding of complicated school finance. I received the 2009 Unsung Hero Award from C.S.E.A. Orange Field office. I also have volunteered my service to Centralia by acting as the campaign treasurer in the 2002 passage of Measure H, the District's general obligation bond to improve school facilities.

I have given my time and talents selflessly for the students of Centralia and the surrounding community. I will bring the same level of dedication and integrity to a board position. Given the financial constraints of today's economy, I possess a credible, collaborative, and proven record of fundamental values that are essential to public service.
