Political Philosophy for Nancy Padberg
Candidate for |

|
I am the Vice President of the So. Orange Co. Community College District and have a conservative and fiscally sound voting record of balancing every budget, paying off government debt. I have fought for smaller government, lower taxes and local control of educational programs. I am proud of my record of reducing college district debt while putting away more dollars for emergencies in our reserve accounts. When I first took office the college district was nearly out of any reserve monies and was placed on the Statewide Financial Watch List. Through sound fiscal management and a reversal of excess spending this financial crisis has been corrected and our college district is now on solid financial ground. Education is critical in the current challenging job market and economic uncertain times. The community college district's delivery of higher education and job training is one of the most important parts of our California plan for educating young people. Our nursing training and paramedic training programs are excellent and recognized as leaders in the nation. For two years the Saddleback College nursing class received a 100% pass rate on the state nursing license exam. Continued successes like this are imperative in these difficult times. Our young people are the future and educating them is imperative. My endorsement of solid conservatives is an honor.
