What I Believe

We need solid academic, transfer, and vocational training programs. Energy, computer, medical, and environmental technologies are the waves of the future. Growth of our middle-class depends on our youth learning these skills to compete in a world market.

My Goals

• Increase training in energy, computer, medical, and environmental technologies.
• Expand curriculum for emerging technologies.
• Develop vocational training programs for local apprentices.
• Promote development of the highest quality faculty.
• Increase meeting transparency.
• Maximize funding directly to the classroom.
• Implement a new master plan for our District, updating Board policies and procedures.
• Appoint working subcommittees with full Board approval: Audit, Accreditation, Budget, Career Training and Education, Land Development, and Personnel.
• Implement common course numbering.
• Reinforce our commitment to diversity.
• Select new external auditor through an open and transparent RFP process.
• Appoint new executive leadership for Coastline Community College and our District's Human Resources department.
