As an experienced Board member, a retired community college teacher and parent of a daughter who attended community college, I am committed to the success of the North Orange County Community Colleges.

Fullerton and Cypress College provide quality transfer and career/technical education and our School of Continuing Education serves over 60,000 students per year. Students and communities benefit from our commitment to student success.

Despite challenging economic times, we have efficiently managed our resources. The state cut our funding by 10% yet more students are coming to us for classes. With careful budgeting and cooperation of our staff, we are serving 7% more students despite the 10% cut.

The District has maintained fiscal stability, had accreditation reaffirmed for both campuses and built leading-edge Library/Learning Centers at both campuses. We are developing an Educational Master Plan to guide us in meeting future challenges and increasing student achievement.

As a Board member, I am passionately committed to the goals of the North Orange County Community College District for the benefit of our students, our community and our state. I have the experience, the knowledge and the skills to help our District achieve these goals. I ask for your vote so that I can continue to make them happen.
