Candidate for
Council Member; City of Yorba Linda

I am lifelong Republican. I beleive in smaller central government and the preservation of individual liberties. I believe that Supply Side economics works, even on a local level. The free market will take care of itself if government will leave business alone, reducing regulation, taxation and interference.

I also beleive firmly that any democracy functions best when there is debate and differences of opinion. Healthy debate is a symbol of a healthy democracy. Civility and decorum are hallmarks of an enlightened and advanced system of governance. Personality conflicts and political vendettas are not appropriate agendas for governmental processes and hearings. Pursuit of these types of agendas are not appropriate for elected officials or quality leaders. Authentic and effective leaders should provide guidance, direction and vision for the electorate and the staff. Leaders should inspire and persuade, not criticize, belittle, or inhibit full participation of the public or other electeds.

It is my hope that the City Council in Yorba Linda, can in the next four years, exepmplify and aspire to leadership that ecourages business development, inspires participation of the electorate as well as it's elected officials, and addresses and cooperates between agencies and personalities, in a seamless, civil and professional manner.
