Michael Mahony believes that the Board of Trustees, while technically a political office, should not be overtly political itself. The Board of Trustees should represent the students, the parents, the teachers and the administration. This requires all Trustees to set aside political ideals in the pursuit of this fair representation.

As a fiscal conservative, Mr. Mahony will carefully consider all financial issues presented to the Board of Trustees. With the current budget crisis this is going to be an extremely important trait for all Board members.
