For the past 13 years, I have had the privilege of serving on the Cypress School District Board of Trustees. As a School Board Member, I am committed to:

  • Promoting excellence in education for all students

  • Maintaining fiscal solvency

  • Upgrading the infrastructure of school facilities through the use of Measure M funds

  • Continuing to upgrade and expand the educational technology program including the placement of Smart Boards in every classroom

  • Expanding the Cypress Educational Foundation, which provides additional funding for Cypress schools

Cypress schools are excellent and among the highest achieving schools in Orange County. During 2010-2011, all six Cypress Schools have been designated as Distinguished Schools by the California State Department of Education.

I believe my experience as a teacher, administrator, and Board member has been an asset in my past service to the District and will continue to guide me in the future. My background includes over 38 years experience in public and private education.

My commitment is to provide excellence in education for Cypress School District students.

My wife Sandy and I have been residents of Cypress for over 40 years. I currently attend Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Cypress and have served on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club.
