Candidate for
Council Member; City of Orange

As your Councilman, I will devote myself to making Orange an even more desirable community that attracts new residents and new businesses,benefitting you and all the others who know what a beautiful place this is. Robert Douglas brings a rare breed of dedication for the passion to this City of Orange. Robert was born in Warren, Ohio; he lived in Orange for the past fifteen years. Robert knows the value of hard work and sacrifice. He went in the United State Marines Corps at the young age of seventeen years old. He quickly learned how to become responsible man. After serving seven and a half years in the Marine Corps-honorable discharged Robert Douglas worked his way through Califorina State Long Beach University, receiving a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He also received a M.A. degree in criminal justice from Chapman University in the City of Orange,Califorina; as well he also completed the basic police academy. Robert has overcome many obstacles to obtain a quality education. He survived failure in his entrepreneur endeavors. Robert struggled as a young man to find work. He suffered some of the same hardships thatmany people are dealing with today. His life changed in 1995,when he obtained his B.A.,it gave him the hope that he would one day become a professional and productive member of society. His drive to go in public service came from a deep desire to help people and provide opportunity for his constituents. He worked thirty-two years as government worker,as a teacher.He taught criminal justice courses at the high school , community college and unversity levels.
